I think it's quite in the middle Germany .. (so in the middle of EU) :D lowenduser 10-05-2006, 06:14 AM If you're considering it, keep Dublin in mind - loads of venues, and I'm sure one of the stores like Musicmaker might be able to facilitate you for workshops etc. You'll also get a chance to experience the Irish "sessiún" - where musicians are given sections of the pubs just to jam (although it's usually Irish trad music played, I'm sure they can facilitate variations on the theme!!) - musicians usually get paid by the pint, and usually aren't up on a stage as such but tucked round a "musicians only" part of the bar! (just thinking how an Irish pub would react to 30 bass players turning up for a sessiún!!) (Edit: Incidentally - "sessiún" is the Irish/Gaelic for "session" in case you haven't gathered, and as it's held in a pub, it has lead to a very Irish expression "I've such a hangover - I was on a session last night!" - not limited to musicians alone) mvw356 10-05-2006, 06:37 AM Great idea to have a gtg, i suggest we do it in Brussels, it's the capital of Europe after all. :smug: Vorago 10-05-2006, 07:24 AM True that, but what cool bassrelated stuff is there to do? Darn, I just released the secret to good planning. :smug: vindy500 10-05-2006, 03:41 PM anyone wanna give me a ride :D Vorago 10-05-2006, 03:51 PM Sorry dude, I don't know how to drive :hmm: But you could try hicking ;) Better, we could hick together!
