I started playing for my new band back in the middle of July and since then we've had to change drummers and recorded a 2 song demo. The recording process was a nightmare (for those of you who read my thread you'll know what i'm talking about) but that's a different story for another day. Anyway, not longer after we finished in the studio my one guitarist and vocalist began talking about doing a "warm up show" before our first "real" show. So my drummer booked us a show for tonight and ever since he booked it the same guitarist and my singer have been making up all kinds of excuses to get out of performing tonight. "It was to short of a notice," "I have a daughter," "I have plans" ...etc. The biggest one is te guitarist said he doesn't have any equipment to use because he just traded his head in for one that had to be ordered; now what's funny about that is he has 3 full Marshall stacks, another Marshall head and a Fender head. How can you say "I don't have anything to use" when you have that laying around? That'd be like the drummer having 3 drum kits and each one is the same and then have him/her saying "They're not the same." Pisses me off

Now here's my question(s): Do you guys/gals think this will happen again when it comes time for our "real" show? And do you think we should go about finding a new guitarist and vocalist? Or do you think we should just let it go and keep pressing on?

You should be fine. Maybe they just werent amped up about the "warmup" show.
