Brandon :bassist: Hi Brandon, Maybe I can talk Brandt into posting a review on it for you...I'm a bit stretched for time at the moment, but in general, it's one of, if not the best value in terms of affordable 6 string basses! Absolutely SWEET for the $$! The next best thing, but at a bit of a higher price is the new MTD KZ6! Peace! ThePerfectBass 02-23-2007, 01:32 PM Here's a link to the Legend page on Spector's site... http://www.spectorbass.com/NewFiles/professionalseries.html Here's a link to a Bass Player Mag review of the 4 and 5 string versions... http://www.bassplayer.com/story.asp?storyCode=8989 Brandt@TPB 02-25-2007, 08:11 PM After sitting down with a Spector Legend 6 in my hand for about an hour I realized that I was at work, and if I wanted to keep this dream job I’d better start doing something productive. The thing is I don’t play 6 string bass, but I found my way around on the Legend 6 very quickly. The neck is comfortable but beefy like most Spectors. This didn’t bother me because my Warwick has a very similar profile. The Legend series defiantly provides big Spector tone for a little price. The EMG SSD pick-ups (Stuart Spector Design) stay quiet as you crank up the super powerful, boost only, EMG tone pump Jr. Pre-amp. (Volume –Volume – Treble – Bass) The output from this electronics set-up is extremely hot, one of the highest outputs of any bass we sell. The pick-ups provide a really thick low-end great for rock, but smooth enough for funk or even gospel. The black hardware is very precise, and solid for a bass with a $599.00 price tag. The Spector Legand 6 is everything you could want out of the box with no modifications needed. Spector has given all of us 5 stringers a affordable reason to take the step and start playing a 6 string! Peace BB |
