Here's an ad:

"Hey,

I'm a 21 year-old student in Toronto, and my friend and I are planning to start a band that will play 60s/70s covers and try to get regular but reasonable gigs to get some extra cash for school. Gigs may be downtown or in the near GTA.

I'm a bassist/singer and my friend can play guitar/bass/drums all very well.

We are looking for musicians who really love classic rock, if you can play more than one instrument well or sing, that would be very useful as we may rotate by song:

1 Keyboardist
1 Guitarist or 1 Drummer (or someone who can rotate)
1 Bassist (ditto with rotation, preferably a vocalist or guitarist)
Good vocalists for the style

Examples of Material:

The Doors
Led Zeppelin
Jimi Hendrix
maybe AC/DC or Black Sabbath depending on members and venue demands
Jefferson Airplane
Possibly Deep Purple
Cream
Eagles
Guess Who
Who
Grateful Dead

We may take requests/advice from venues on material.
Basically anything songs from those that will fit the style we need.

Email me at trueexperience@hotmail.com!

Later y'all,
Colin"

You can hear an old recording of the drummer and I with an jazz combo here: http://utjc.sa.utoronto.ca/Recording_Mar06/01%20-%20Cantaloupe%20Island%20192kbps.mp3
