I picked up "Kind of Blue" on vinyl at a local thrift shop. I'm very familar with the recording and have it on cd. It says "PC 8163" above the Columbia logo, and it's stereo.

"Flamenco Sketches" and "All Blues" are reversed on the track list and in the description that explains each piece:

"Flamenco Sketches is a 6/8 12-measur blues form that produces its mood . . . All Blues is a series of five scales . . . "

But they're in the right order on the recording, and printed as such on the label.

So I'm just trying to figure out what the deal is with this LP, and maybe how many were relased with this error, etc.

You may have the original pressing, which I read somewhere had some printing errors. If you have the original, it is worth a lot to collectors. I sure somebody around here will know everything.

Does it also Have Cannonball Adderley's name spelt as 'adderly'? If so, I think you have the same pressing as me, which I beleive to be the original. It is also out-of-key, as the tapes were played back at slightly the wrong speed.
To my ears it sounds better than any CD version I've heard, though. beautifully warm. I've also heard they're worth a fair bit, although I don't know how much.

The "PC" designation means it's a reissue, and 8163 means it's a reissue of the stereo pressing, at least, according to the jacket—can you describe the label on the wax itself; Six-eye? Two-eye? (Photo attached of what I mean by six-eye, the original stereo issue (8163)). Columbia used a totally different number for mono/stereo issues; Kind of Blue Mono was CL1355, Stereo was CS8163. I have a feeling this is a later, 70's or 80's pressing (when they went to the PC designation). For example, the original press copy of Miles' Water Babies, recorded in the 60's but not issued until 1979, has the catalog number PC3496.
