Hello all

I am trying to find someone to instruct me in bass, both upright(beginning) and electric(advanced intermediate). I am trying to put together a plan to transfer to goddard college so i can study music and recording independantly. This would entail roughly 2 or 3 meetings a week, studying bass. I also want to study composition, but I'd like to start with just bass instruction. I am in a band, and will probably also teach lessons at the same time. If you, or someone you know would be interested in this arrangement, even if they dont fulfill part of this write-up, please contact me. thanks a lot!

added note - if you are wanting to reply but do not teach upright bass as well as electric, please reply anyway! I am thinking at this point that I will probably end up studying them seperately if no one is available for both. Thanks!

Talk to Aram Bedrosian or Stacy Starkweather, as they are both solid, knowledgable teachers/performers that should be able to help you out!! ;) They are both here on TalkBass, so dig around and you'll find them. ;)

For SERIOUS upright teachers, I would suggest contacting Val Mongillo or Roy Feldman at the Burlington Violin Shop to see if they can suggest a friend who plays in the Vermont Symphony Orchestra with them.

Im going back to burlington tommorow (saturday 25th), and ill probably call him about it then. Also, who is stacy starkweather and how could i get in touch with her?
