This is a one of a kind Custom Alembic 5 that was built for me in 2000. It was the Alembic "Featured Custom" in January 2001 and is still up on their web site (see link below).

- Flame Maple top and back
- Matching Flame Maple control cavity and truss rod covers
- Ebony board with Mother of Pearl inlays
- Maple neck with Purple Heart stringers
- All Gold plated hardware (tuners, nut & bridge assy)
- Red LED markers on the side of the neck
- Pickups hand wound by Ron Wickersham
- Standard Mark King electronic package
- Custom adjustable boost switch with red/green LED
- This was the first 5 string "Balance Point" body made

Check out this link to the Alembic site:

Also here is a photo of me with the bass in its original form before the boost switch and the side mount jack was added.

This bass would cost over $10,000 if you had Alembic build it for you today. Don't miss your chance to own a modern classic that will only appreciate with time.

Price reduced to $3,800.00 plus shipping. It comes with OHSC. Trades or Trades + Cash considered.

It's a wonderful instrument but I just don't play it these days so I would rather it went to someone who would use and enjoy it amazing beauty and thunderous tone.

If you have any questions at all about this incredible bass, or if you would like additional photos, please contact me directly at: facebass@msn.com or call me at 303-624-1876 during the day or at 303-795-7426 in the evening. I'm located in Colorado.

Thanks! Yes it is a GREAT bass. I just have too many others these days and it just doesn't get played enough to justify keeping it. Someone will be VERY happy with it!

Bump for a great guy and a great instrument!

Weight I think Spencer said this: "It weighs in at about 12 lbs. It is heavy but that's why it sounds the way it does.............."
