looked at my left hand while fretting some notes earlier and noticed that when i fret a note my fingers except for the pinky arent at a 90 degrees angle to the neck. for example, when i look at my left hand while playing from my view, my index finger is around a 140 degree angle to the neck, my middle is at the same angle, my ring finger is the opposite and frets at a 70 degree angle.

when i look at the mirror while playing its kinda like:
-----|--/---\--\------
-----|--|---|--|-----
-----|--\ --/--/------
.......p...r...m..i.........

(hope you understand tha diagram)

wondering if this is bad technique. its pretty natural for me and its hard for my to straighten them up without putting effort into it which is hard to do while playing.

does anyone else do this?

straighten them up wouldnt do any good.actually, your fingers need to be a bit "off" so the pinky and the other fingers would be in the same length (if i understand you correctly)
