The B peg on my Trib L-2500 is closer to the E peg that the E peg is to the A. Normal? If so, a reason?

I realize that this might not have been the most exciting topic
ever posted in this forum, but it really wasn't necessary for
y'all to line up around the block clamoring to post replies!

Might I hear from at least a few L-2500 owners, Trib or not,
who are unselfish enough to walk across the room to have a
look at their flippin' headstocks?

Gee, thanks ... 8-b

Scan the ones for sale on Ebay and see if there are others like yours. I know the newer USA the one of them is a little odd looking to get it to fit.

None of my G&L 5 string basses past or present all USA have the spacing you described. I suspect that it may just be a tribute thing. And maybe all the tribute owners who know the answer to this has been sworn to secrecy. Ok maybe a stretch on that last one.:hiding:
Any chance you could show us a picture? I have heard of some basses having one tuning peg mounted at an angle while others are straight but not the odd spacing.

A user in another forum is selling his "early 3+2 headstock" ... "bought ... used in 2/2000",
and his blurb includes a rear headstock pic which gave me my answer.

The tuning pegs on his USA L-2500 are all over the map -- misaligned, non-equidistant
-- yikes! Comparing the headstock workmanship of my Trib to that on his USA axe is like
comparing a custom luthier job to a '64 Kent.

So -- I'm even happier with my Trib ... maybe Korea is to this decade what Japan was to
the 1970s?

I have a non trib and the space between the b and e tunning peg and the e and a look the same, didn't measure though.
