Before i ask my question, i did look in the stickies, faqs, and searched, but couldn't find what i was looking for. Does anyone have a diagram to wire J pups into series without a switch?

BillySundayMD 12-24-2006, 02:12 PM thanks, what about the neck pup ground lead, where does it end up? i_got_a_mohawk 12-24-2006, 02:36 PM The neck pup ground lead gets connected to the bridge pup hot lead ( number 4 ) mradjahoe 02-14-2007, 12:08 PM I think your bass has two volume knobs. If it does, you can wire the pickups in series and use one volume knob. It'll be in series all the time since there'll be no switch. If you want to try that, here's one way: 1) Disconnect the bridge pickup hot lead from the volume pot leg. 2) Leave the bridge pickup ground lead on the back of the pot. 3) Disconnect both neck pickup leads from its volume pot. 4) Solder the bridge pickup hot lead to the neck pickup ground lead (the one that was on the back of the pot). 5) Solder the neck pickup hot lead where the neck pickup hot lead used to be. This Post saved my life! thanks |
