...and I'm not talking about Tower Records. ;-)

I'm in a buying mood and want to check the prices on some fx-stompboxes and other stuff during my stay in London.
Anyone got any store to recommend?

just head to denmark street, theres loadsa good shops in the one place id say youll find whatever yer looking for, ive never bought anything but good for trying out stuff.

You could also try The Bass Gallery in Camden Town. IMO the best bass shop in London.

+1. The Gallery is definitely the best bass shop in London.

Most of the places on Denmark Street are rip-off merchants. Having said that, Sound Control (in the basement of the Virgin Megastore), round the corner from Denmark Street, is usually pretty decent, as long as you can get someone to actually speak to...

Up until a few years ago, I'd have heartily recommended The Bass Centre as well. They lost something when they moved premises from Wapping though. And now that James has left, the place has gone downhill fast - the guys who work there now are just downright rude and unhelpful. :eyebrow:
