Does anybody know of any bands that play instruments that you usually don't see together? Such as a bass, violin, vibrophone, flute etc.

It's basically a narrow violin body with an horn coming out of it. It sounds pretty damn near a trumpet. Plus, they're an amazing group of musicians. gkbass13 12-29-2006, 08:45 PM deadweight-loud music on drums, cello and violin. portishead is great....trip hop with a full orchestra the arcade fire-indie rock with strings and horns at times...very talking heads and bowie esque superbassman2000 12-29-2006, 08:53 PM I like "A whisper in the noise" its piano-drums-bass-french horn-violin www.awitn.com DougP 12-29-2006, 10:45 PM I like "A whisper in the noise" its piano-drums-bass-french horn-violin www.awitn.com great band there. i guess Tom Waits could be considered odd instrumentation as well. |
