Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler have been the backbone of the Greenhornes for years. Check out some of their work here (http://punkcast.com/273/). They were also in the backing band for Loretta Lynn's Van Lear Rose CD from a couple of years ago.

i thought he played that gibson hollowbody?

Maybe so, but it was a Ric in that particular gig.

Is he the same guy that played with the Greenhornes? Aparently when they were supporting White Stripes, he's a splitting image of me and kept giving my friend strange looks. So aparently he's me from the future... the world will probably be destroyed if I ever meet him.

But if it's the same guy, his playing rocks on a best of the Greenhornes I have.

Been meaning to check out Raconteurs for ages ^^

He is no technical giant but he has a really warm sound that I dig. To me, he is one of those guys that puts the right notes in the right place.

I just picked up the Raconteurs CD and it is great. I was no White Stripes fan but this is much different.

The bass playing is just so tasty. I am used to songs with bass lines that chug along, only pausing when everything else pauses. On this CD Jack Lawrence weaves his lines in and out of the music. I am going to jam on this thing until my fingers bleed. It will be a great lesson for me to learn what not to play.
