I have a fostex portable recorder for a year. It works good but I wanted to try some computer software out. I got cakewalk project 5 version 2 recording software not thinging about how do I and my band plug into the computer. Im clueless. I tryed looking around on the net but Im still clueless. I got a few questions.

1.How do you plug straight into the sound card?
2.Is a mixer with a usb port better then pluging into a sound card?
3.What kind of mixer will work?

If someone can give me an idea of what i might need to plug into the computer. A cheap way from like 200 to 250.

thankiez

This is me, plugged straight into an M-Audio box, you can pick them up for like, $100-150

Sounds decient, nothing too fancy and we used Adobe Audition.

Im sure you can do a lot with Cakewalk and something this simple

Cheers !
