ive got an ibanez edb500... its got the crappiest bridge offered of all the basses, im going to switch all my hardware over to black when my tax returns come in, and wanted to get a black bridge, but i want an upgraded one..

will any 4 string bass bridge from ibanez fit? im looking at the accu-cast b20, or accu-cast b200 as a possible upgrade? will this fit (without modification)

Don't even waste your time with the stock Iby bridges. I just got a Hipshot A-style, to replace that crap-tastic bridge my Ibanez GSR came with. It's the first total overhaul I've done on any of my axes, and the stock bridge is a ****ing joke. The old EDB bridges were really nice, I can't say I'm digging on the new ones. The best bridges Ibanez makes are the mono-rail, but it's hard to fit them onto an existing bass without some serious, SERIOUS expertise. I'm not even sure how to determine the spacing on the individual bridges with that system. At any rate, there are far superior bridges to be found the aftermarket. I, too, had considering using an existing Ibanez bridge as a replacement, but couldn't find one in the finish I was after. It's just my two cents, but the Gotoh and Hipshot bridges are bad to the bone. I also like that Hipshot will allow you to specify a string spacing on set-width bridges. That's something you don't often think about with after-market customizations, and I modeled the spacing after the bass I've got with the best play. Let me know what you end up doing, or if you want more of my ranting and raving.
