Greetings from Mannheim, Germany! You dont know me, but my name is Steve and Im a military musician. I feel crazy because though Ive only been on TB for about a month, I never before paid attention to the fact that you have your own forum here. Anyway, I just want to say thank you with the utmost sincerity and respect. While I was deployed last year performing with the 76th Army Band I received a package from you in the mail. Of course since Im not all familiar with alot of names in the bass world, I had never heard of you. Funny thing is, at the same time that the package came, I was in search of some instructional tools to help my playing improve. I also have no idea who J. Hoffman is or how he got my address (Im actually a tuba player. Nevertheless, Im SO appreciative of the materials and I must say that they have assisted me greatly. Its ppl like you that make us soldiers stick out our chests with pride and happily put on our uniforms to serve our country. When youre in a place like Iraq, doing your duty, with so many different opinions and views, sometimes you just dont know how you are viewed even by your own. Im happy to say its people like yourself who show concern and even go extra that help keep us going. Your contribution means more than any award. Im thankful to be back safely, but I ask that you keep the fellow military bandsmen as well as the rest of the troops in your hearts and prayers. Thank you SO MUCH for your kindness. This will never be forgotten.

Sincerely
Sgt Stephen E.
