VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Musicman Sub With D'addario's?

Hello,

I've recently broke my g-string and I need a replacement. The strings on my sub were Flea Signature GHS Boomers. My neck needs absolutely some adjustment, the strings were buzzing all the time, the G-string at every fret. Because I'm in my exams, I do not have very much time to drive around. I finally found a decent guy who wants to do the adjustment for 7.5€.
The problem that appeared is that he has only d'addario's in his store. I had them on my stagg and it felt good but not amazing. I wanted GHS boomers or DR fat beams. I could order them online, but then I have to wait another week before I can play my bass. I do need some practise time for my new band, so I'm in a dilemma here.

Does anyone has/had d'addario's on his musicman (sub)?
How did it felt and was it good for slapping and popping or any other genre?
If I restring my bass in 2 months with GHS or D'addario, does my neck will have to be adjusted again?

Thx for your advice,
Koen
