I have once again broke my string of G. I noticed at the bottom where the string sits in was very loose so I am guessing it has something to do with it.

I want to buy a new set. Can anyone please suggest the best strings I should get for getting the best easiest sound for Slapping and popping? I was thinking Ernie Ball Super Slinky Bass Strings, good?

Ernie Balls are ok. I think you'd really like DR High Beams for slap style.
