I want something i can record guitar parts on and play them back without using a computer.Also id like something cheaper.Am i hoping for something that doesnt exist?

So...you want a multitrack recorder that is self contained, and inexpensive? Check out the Boss Micro Br, that is just one possibility, there are many self contained multitrack recorders out there.

Hard disk things are pretty cool, but have you got monitors to hear play back or a you just going to use Headphones???
