I caught Superbassman2000's band: The Blue House Band tonight.
They have a real blues based sound. Superbassman2000 get's a nice
big organic sound out of his Hambone Bass, SansAmp RBI, Crown amp,
and Bassoon Cab. This guy definitely has chops, and likes to move.

I've never seen anyone else from TalkBass play out before, it was
an interesting experience meeting a person who you've only "talked"
with through the computer.

I'm wondering if anyone else has met someone from talkbass in person?

Anyway, it was fun, it was a good band, and I'm sure I'll catch
them again when I can. I recommend anyone in the Duluth/Superior
area to check them out when they're near you.

I met charlie (superbass2000) last summer when I bought an AMP ampr from him--real nice young man! Playing the blues charlie? I thought you were into a heavily processed avant garde kind of thing? shackshakers website--especially the photos through the years was a total hoot!

Thanks for the good words Nic! Your band rocked the house last night--and you guys were incredible! you have definitly inspired me to get a wireless :)

yeah, I love to play my avant garde music, but I also really enjoy getting paid to play :) We also have an original rock band too, but we don't get as many gigs with that, and since we all got bit by the gig-bug, we love to play for people and formed a blues band so we can get some more gigs and play live for people who want to hear some music :)

plus i love the blues--my dad has been playing eric clapton, buddy guy, BB King, Albert King, and all the greats since the day i was born, so i will always have a soft spot for the blues :) plus just about everything i learned about bass was learned from Jack Bruce from all my dad's Cream cds :)

I still have my avant garde music--actually even moreso because now i have some money to buy more gear with :) eventide H8000 here i come! (one day :))

Ha, I've been there man. I miss the cover band gig I had, it was an extra 80 bucks a week! That sounds mighty sweet right now, being in an original band that gigs 17 times a year and gets paid between zero - 50 bucks a gig.
