SOLD

As much as this pains me, up for sale is my Nino Valenti "Geddy Lee" jazz bass number 26. Gotta make room for my new Sadowsky Metro. As you will see from the pics, she is in excellent condition. Aside from some fingernail/pic scuffs, mostly around the tops of the pickups, this bass is mint. There is one very small nick in the finish, not through the paint, on the front of the bass, between the bridge pickup and the control plate. It's the size of the head of a pin, so small, I couldn't get it to show up in a photgraph. If you weren't looking for it, you probably wouldn't see it at all. I couldn't find any marks on the back of the bass whatsoever.

The bass is pictured with the b/w/b pickguard, and I will include the white 3 ply pickguard with the sale. Below, is a photo of the bass with the white pickguard. I should mention, that there is a scratch under the pickguard, between the two pickups. This is the result of a mishap during the final construction of the bass, and is the reason Nino included the second pickguard. Unless you plan on playing the bass sans pickguard, it is something you will, of course, never notice. Also included, is an SKB hardshell bass case, see last photo. It has some wear, but is functionally solid. Of course, the inside of the case is nearly mint.

I have shipped many guitars and basses, so rest assured, the instrument will be well packed, and shipped UPS ground insured.

I'm asking $1250, shipped to lower 48, and paypal fees included.

The specs:

Maple neck w/maple fretboard
Black Block Inlays and Binding
Alder Body
Aguilar OBP-1 preamp
Nordstrand NJ4 single coil pickups
White/Black/White pickguard
Chrome Hardware
BadAss II bridge
HipShot UltraLite Tuners with Vintage style Clover keys

Thanks Nino!

I got a PM about the weight, and on my admittedly inaccurate bathroom scale, she comes in at 9lbs.

Why is this still here? Will somebody please buy this so I don't and end up fighting over it in the divorce that would ensue?

Bump from seriously GASSING fool.

Sorry about that. Quick, tell her I was kidding! ;)

I just noticed you are from Toledo. I bought my Sadowsky from a guy in Toledo, and was just there last Saturday, to pick it up! Small world huh.

I live in Massillon, which is a little over an hour, directly south of Cleveland. See, if you buy the bass, we can meet somewhere in between, and save the Valenti from the gorillas at UPS. This is a sign... a sign... a sign... you're getting sleepy... you need this bass... this bass...

Talk to me about the Jaco pic on the case: Where did you get that? How is it on there? Is it printed on the case? A decal? A holographic display that only appears when you aim a camera at it?

Tell me.

Tell me.

It was a fender ad in bass player magazine a few years back.
I scanned it, and printed it to a large sticky back label sheet, and viola! Jaco on your bass case. It's funny, people never asked me about my bass, or bass rig, but I always had someone ask me about that picture.

And now I have to find a copy of that ad to do the same thing.
