No joke, this is the best playing bass I have ever put my hands on. The frets must have been dressed perfectly, because the action is LOW with no buzzing or dead spots. This bass is nearly mint, I tried to photograph the few blemishes. The color is inca silver with a white pearloid pickguard. It is perfectly set up with a new (3 days old) set of Ernie Ball slinkys (105s) on it. I am looking for $695 shipped. As far as trades go, I am interested in passive basses with maple boards, though I will consider all other offers as well. No fretless offers please. The bass will ship in a brand new Musicians Friend Tweed Gigbag.

Damn that action is LOW.

Yeah, it's low, and it doesn't buzz. Seriously, this is the best neck I've ever seen on a bass. It was like this when I received it, and it was COLD when I got it. It was shipped from up north with no case, and the neck never moved. All I did to get the action that low is to lower the saddles. If this bass doesn't sell at this price, I will probably just keep it since it is such a good one.

You'll regret it! Because you can ALWAYs take that neck off and put it on another body, but will have a hard time finding a neck like that again.

Yeah, I've thought about that. That neck is PERFECT. I've never played a bass with such low buzz-less action, and the basses I've had recently are Warwick, Lakland, Reverend, and Spector, if that tells you anything. I'm really gassing for that Lakland JO Geddy Lee look-alike for sale on here though, although I guess I could buy a Geddy Lee and put that neck on it... somebody buy this before I decide to keep it!!!

Nice bass. That neck will not fit on a Geddy, though, or most any other Fender (or bass for that matter) without major modification. If you put it on a Geddy, for example, which only has twenty frets, you will effectivly increase the scale length, because the deluxe neck is longer. What I'm getting at is that it is a not standard size neck so I would not count on putting it on another body.

Good point...you know I didn't realize that, but you are right, it is longer than the traditional neck. And it's a good neck, but I think I mentioned that already.

I can get my action really low on mine without buzz, but thats when I play fingerstyle, and I'm mainly a pick player, so when it's that low, I got some major clackin' going on! :D Kind of sounds cool in the mix though if done right.

Gorgeous bass - you sure about the Inca Silver?? Sure looks like Shoreline Gold to me...

Does the preamp have a passive bypass? What's its weight? Neck width at nut?

Color is definitely inca silver, no bypass/bass is always active, nut width is 1 and 5/8", and I have no way of weighing the bass, although I wouldn't call it light.

once again considering all trade offers. I am a sucker for maple boards, jazz designs, just about any Lakland, and I'm not a G&L fan. Willing to trade down for bass + cash, but not up.

i have a 60th anniversary edition in cherryburst,amazing low action with no buzz,frets are really perfect on these basses.

I am really starting to think long and hard about this one. I missed out on an MIA Jazz that I wanted and this is up there. I wish it were 5 string, but damn it is hot.
