I will be permanently moving to Arkansas in June or July, and probably will not be able to afford the luxury of paying for gas just to travel 400 miles for a get together, so it could be my last one.

I don't think my 650 sq ft. apartment would be real condusive to a gtg...especially seeing as I can barely turn my master past 2 without rattling the entire building.

I just got word that I'm being sent to Irving for training on the Tuesday and Wednesday before the guitar show. I thought about taking that Thursday off to possibly visit Pete and Pavel's shops... but if we have the GTG that Saturday I may skip the Thursday plans and just come back up Saturday for the show and GTG. We shall see.

Does tuBass still come around? He arranged the first one that I went to at that resteraunt in Deep Ellum. Maybe he still has a contact there?

Would offer my house, but it's in Denton, kinda out of the way. But besides that, we are preparing for my daughter's wedding, so the WAF for hosting anything right now would be non-existent.

I would be interested in meeting you guys. I went to the one a couple of years ago here in Frisco (just around the corner from my house). That little place seemed alright. If it's the weekend of the Dallas Guitar Show, even better!

I went to the show last year and had a blast. I really didn't care too much about looking at all the instruments, but what really did it for me was seeing all the greats playing up on the different stages!

Looks like they just announced the entertainment lineup too!

Maybe everyone can hang right after the show for a beer, I know a number of bands will be playing around the convention Center as always.
Last year the show actually opened mid day on Friday and then all day sat and sunday.

So either Friday or Sat.... I'll be there for either. I'm sure Pete will be around as well as Pavel.

And for those interested, Kevin from GoodGuysGuitars and Bob from bass Palace will also be at Dallas this year.

well, shoot. My memory must be going. I told my partner I'd help him out of a spot and trade call with him (and work that weekend) and completely spaced on the G-show being that weekend too. Oh well, maybe next year ...

Ok folks, the show is this weekend. I've been under the weather this week, but I plan to make the trip tomorrow unless my condition gets worse. Who else is going to be there for sure? We should find a way to indentify ourselves and hook up while we're there.

I talked to Pete (http://www.skjolddesign.com/), and unfortunately he won't have a booth set up, he has a lot of stuff going on right about now. He may be in the shop for a couple of hours, so if I can I'll try to connect with him then. I also called up Pavel (http://www.pavelmi.com), and while he won't have a booth he does plan on attending the show, so we'll see about meeting up and yakkin' a bit.

I'm out- got stuff going on all weekend. Next time...
