Hi all:

I've done some searching but I have not seen anyone comment on the durability of a super-glue coating on a fretless fingerboard. Is it something that you would expect to have to redo periodically or would it last?

Is there anyone with long term exerience with one?

What sort of care would you recommend once it is in use?

thx for any input - Tony

Hey Tony,

While I have not applied this treatment to my fingerboards, there's a thread here (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=155390&highlight=glue+fingerboard) where some users have. You may want to PM them directly to ask the same question if they don't chime in here. It seems that tjclem has done it a few times, though others have as well.

You could also try the search function for "glue fingerboards" and get some hits. Of course, you'll get some that aren't helpful at all, but those are the breaks :D .

Good luck!

I have done it several times but they have been on basses I have sold. I would iagine you would have to redo it once in a while. I would depend on how hard you are on a fb.........t
