Is there a difference between a 1/4" (head)phone jack and a 1/4" input jack for a guitar???

I dont believe so, but just want to be sure before I replace mine...

Headphone jack is stereo, guitar jacks are (usually) mono.

That's most certainly mono. Only a signal and ground connection.

If you have active electronics, you want the 3-lead stereo headphone jack. Otherwise, you'll be changing 9-volt batteries inside your axe every day.

That's what I thought...
I noticed that the plug only had two leads in it, so I figured it must be mono...
Just what the doctor ordered!!!
One of these days, after I figure out how much solder to put into connections (snicker, snicker), I will venture into the world of active electronics!!!
For now, I will continue the series/paralell mod on this precision-jazz i'm assembling...
thanks!!!
