Sorry guys: the 002r sold today, and the Waves bundle is off the market for now.

EDIT: I know it's a lot to read...sorry about that. I wanted to add that I would entertain a reasonable offer, especially for both items together. Oh, and it's not a feeler anymore: I'm definitely selling. It's $450 for the 002r and $315 for the Waves Gold Native Bundle. Please make sure to read on for complete descriptions.

Hey all,

I'm still not sure if this is something I'm willing to let go of yet, but I need to, so here it goes:

I've got a Digi 002 rack, I'm the original owner. It's in fantastic condition: I just switched out the wiring harness to be safe, and just had it up and running to check diagnostics and functionality: it's running like new!

I haven't updated beyone LE 6.1.1 or something like that, just because it was rock solid stable on my system. I've got the original documents, the disks, the box, etc...if you purchased it, it looks like the Digi Store would sell you an update to 6.9 for $75, and then it's cheap/free to update further. Of course, that is why I'd be knocking money off the price. This version is pre-dongle.

I also have the Waves Gold Native Bundle ("native" meaning it works on your comp's processor, not on external processor cards), and I'm at version 4.?. That is updatable as well, but again would be up to you. This is pre-dongle (if you don't know what that means, don't even worry about it).

One reason I'm dragging my feet is because it's a big process: I'd have to actually transfer ownership of the hardware and software to you so that the companies know you are the new owner. Be that as it may, once you get it set up (on either mac or PC), it's a fantastic home studio, pro-sounding system.

I'm considering downsizing my whole system, and my wife would really like me to downsize the desk setup, meaning no more room for larger rack systems.

At any rate, used 002 racks are going for $600+ on Ebay and locally. Subtract from that $150 so you can upgrade the software.
So, that's $450 for the 002r.

As for the Gold Native Bundle...they are at version 5 now. I can't find the cost of the update on their website (from 4 to 5) at the moment. It seems that this bundle (new) is about $800 to $900 depending on where you go. I'll subtract $200 from the low end just for being an older version. So, $600 for the bundle, and if you can find the cost of the upgrade to version 5, I'll take on some of that cost as well. In other words, $600 minus some or most of the upgrade cost, and it's yours. I did some more digging, and here's what I found: in order to update to the most recent version, you'd have to join the "Waves Update Plan" which this version is eligible for. To receive updates until April 2008, it would cost $385. You can also buy an upgrade from this version to the newest version PLUS Ren Maxx for even more plugins, for $300 direct from Waves, or less from a dealer (like Guitar Center) So, how about I swallow $285 of it, and sell it for $315?

If you bought both together, I would pay for the shipping myself.

Yes it would take a bit of research on your part so that we could settle on a final price. Still, I'm not in a hurry, and you could conceivably end up with a killer setup for much less than the new cost of about $2,000.

So, PM or email me and we can chat. But dig around a bit on your own to check my numbers on the updates, upgrades, etc. If I have it wrong, let me know (and reference the Digi and Waves websites where you got the info) and I'll adjust my prices.
