Hello everyone! I know I just posted #001 completed, but #002 is already in the works and I wanted to share! I hope you all don't mind!
Well, this one is almost a "twin" guitar to the first. Same woods, mahogany back and neck, Koa top, but it's a double-cutaway version. Some people have said they really like this version more than the single-cut... personally I really like them both :)
So this is how far I've gotten. The body is shaped, control cavity routed, bridge pup routed (can't rout the neck pup until the neck is glued in place). I have the bridge position layed out but I haven't drill the holes yet. I'm going with a roundover on the top this time instead of binding. I'm pretty proud of how the top and body center seams line up :D I also got the neck roughed out. Next is to carve the heel and shape the headstock.
KILLER Koa top. Maybe even nicer than the first?

Really good looking mahogany back too if you ask me. You can hardly tell it's 2 piece

Once again, hope you don't mind another post so soon! Hope you enjoy.
Take care,
Ray
