Hi,
I just blew up the right side of my headphones. They are Sony MDR 7506. Can they be repaired? Would it be worth it?

IMHO, yes!.....NO!
You'd have to replace it with the original driver (a quick search revealed no part numbers). Good luck finding one for a reasonable price in relation to the value of the HP's. How long have you had them? They should come w/ a years worth of warranty. If they're older than a year, then my advice would be to buy a new pair. You could try disassembling them, getting the number off the driver and looking for it. But if you replace it w/ a cheap substitute you'll regret it.
Remember my advice is worth what you paid.

There is a pair on eBay selling cheap because the cord was cut. Could be a good source of parts if it doesn't get bid up:

It ends within a day...

+1

Fixing a cable is cheaper than repairing a earpad - I can never get them to where they're comfortable as they were.
