I figured I would post this in here first.......

I'm selling my acoustic bass. It's a unique instrument in that it has a removeable neck. I was using it for touring as it wasn't my main instrument and I only needed to play a couple of songs a night on it. So with the removeable neck it was perfect for flying with and moving around the coutry a lot.

It has a custom built hard case that the body goes in, and the nexk fits into an electric bass gig bag when it's removed.

It's a great sounding instrument and comes with a pick up too. (seymour duncan I think... I'll have to check on that..)

It's becoming more common as airlines are getting less bass friendly. Patrick Charton has the B21 (http://perso.orange.fr/charton-luthier/instrument1.html) (click through the ATELIER to look for CREATION D'INTRUMENTE, CONTREBASSES and then look for B21), Jim Ham has a removable neck bass, runor has it that Arnold Schnitzer/Wil deSola (http://aesbass.com/) are offering a retro fit for any current bass you might have. Check the DB side, soembdy else has a thread about a bass they had converted recently.

JANEK - what's the bass originally, a plywood I'm assuming? Did you find the neck block bolts interfering in playing the middle upper register?

Still looking to sell this bass, and am I'm dropping the price to $1800. really don't want to let it go, but I am moving and need to get rid of it before I do.
