For sale: Tech SoundSystems 12" Speakers 8 ohm 200W - $100 each

I just picked up 4 of these speakers because I can't resist a good deal, alas, I don't really need them (mainly b/c my Yamaha cabinet has come back to me - long story). I am selling each of these for $100 each, but if you want more than one just let me know and we can strike a deal. The $100 includes shipping to the continental US and I will accept PayPal and cover the fees. If you're interested in 2 of them, I'll let them go for $150 per pair shipped (if you're west of the mississippi add another $10 please).

These speakers are not new, but checked out well with my Yorkville 400B head. One of these has a small repair to the cone that I'll gladly show pictures of. This will be the last one that I sell, and in fact if 2 or 3 of these sell, I'll probably keep this one (this all started b/c I needed 1 -12" speaker). If you're not familiar with these speakers, you can check out the current version of Tech's cabinets at http://www.tec-amp.de/, while they don't offer the cabs that these speakers came in, the cabs that these came out of are very similar to Schroeder cabs (front and side firing drivers). I don't have the spec's on these, but have been told in the past that they're very similar to one of Beyma's offerings. (the looks are very similar too) I will try and contact Tech Soundsystems myself to see if I can get the spec's. If you want to search here on TB for them, look at the CT4000 and the CT2000 cabinets.

Please ask as many questions as you want, I am feeling pretty stupid for not being able to turn down a good deal. :p

i got an old sunn 4x12 i'd like to wire up to 4ohms someday soon.

the only info that i have on these is that they came in a CT4000 cabinet which was rated at 8ohms and 800W RMS, which would logically tell me that the speakers are rated at 200W each. i know that the cabinet also had a tweeter in it with a crossover. i had a cabinet just like the one that these came out of, and "mlwarriner" currently owns it. (i hope that he doesn't mind me using his name in vein). i've offered others that if you would like all 4, i'll gladly take $50 off. if you were to put these in the old sunn cabinet, it would likely SCREAM, but alas it would only be 8ohms.

pm me if you've got a serious interest. i have 2 speakers loaded into a CRAPPPPY cabinet that i had lying around, just to test them out, and was AMAZED by the "voice" that these things have. they remind me of a faster version of the Delta speakers.
