It's served me really well since I've had it (bought it last June or July) and I can probably find the box and maybe even the recepit. The controls have a blue backlight so it makes it easy to use in the dark which was a big plus for me as this thing has spent most of it's time on the table next to my bed plugged into some speakers so I can listen to music while I'm falling asleep. It comes with the original USB cable, but I thought it was so short that I bought a longer one and the software for it. (Although it can be used, even synched to WMP w/o the software). Thanks and God Bless. -Brad
