Yup, I'm thinning the herd... first, the Ric, now the Zon:

This is an early 1990s Zon Legacy Elite I fretless. Poplar body core with a maple top. Single custom-wound Bartolini humbucker with the Ployfusion preamp (Vol/Treble/Bass with adjustable mids in control cavity). Graphite neck (of course) w/ non-stock half-fret lines. The person I bought it from said the fret lines were done by Jim Mouradian. They are very well done.

As you can see from the pictures, it has a bit of wear (nothing serious or anything affecting playability in the least), which I've tried to capture.

I'm asking $1500 OBO, including the Warwick gig bag it came to me with. The gig bag is missing the shoulder straps. Buyer pays shipping.

Do I have to throw in a plate of cookies or something?

It's not THAT ugly, is it? :p The tone on this bass is amazing. Anyone who's played a Zon fretless can testify that they are the upper echelon.

Another day or so and this baby's off to eBay.

dude, if i were a fretless player i'd be all over that bass. I've owned a zon fretless (and a fretted version of the bolt-on version of what your have) and think they are among the best . That price may seem a bit high for some folks who don't like the cracking. I can attest that the cracking does not affect the playability, but I also know that zons have sold for less with similar cracking. But I'd like to end this bump on a positive note that if that bass were fretted, I'd pay very close to what you're asking for it!

good luck,
- rob

Agreed... however, the price isn't "firm". I thought "asking" kinda implied OBO, as per the selling sticky. OP edited.

It's too bad the bass isn't 30 years older than it is, with "Fender" on the headstock, eh? The cracking would be a plus! lol

It's a beauty!

You know I want to buy it. But I can't. I just can't.

Alas for the GAS.
