El-Bob 02-11-2007, 11:14 AM i would buy colma just for the song big sur moon MakiSupaStar 02-11-2007, 12:41 PM For me the verdicts still out on whether or not he warrants me purchasing one of his albums. I've seen him perform with Primus and he was really uh different. Not sure I'd BUY an album yet. AmazingGracePlayer 02-11-2007, 01:05 PM Haha, Limewire... The Lynchinator 02-11-2007, 01:13 PM Other: Island of Lost Minds so good arbitrary 02-11-2007, 01:38 PM Colma is such a great and absolutly beautiful album. I wonder if any of his other stuff is like that...? AxtoOx 02-11-2007, 01:42 PM I've heard him play and he seems very talented. His gimmick turns me off. Does he have an endorsment from KFC? britrit 02-11-2007, 02:27 PM He doesn't have an endorsement. When I saw him in the summer, a thick strip of tape with the word Funeral was around the hat, covering the KFC stuff. I have 3 of his albums, and what amazes me is how different all 3 are. I think Population Override is his best of what I have. Then Electric Tears, then Giant Robot. bongomania 02-11-2007, 02:55 PM Praxis: Transmutation http://music.hyperreal.org/labels/axiom/axiomlabel.html AmazingGracePlayer 02-11-2007, 03:03 PM I really liked C2B3's song called Buckethead, and the solo was just amazing... And I'm looking forward to hearing more rocking songs like that. Bad Brains 02-11-2007, 03:14 PM Other - Crime Scene Slunk. Unfortunitly you can't find the album anywhere. Maybe e-bay DigMe 02-11-2007, 06:26 PM Monsters and Robots. Really it depends on what kind of music you're looking for. If you want upbeat, shreddy type stuff then don't get Colma. I recommend Monsters and Robots for that kind of thing. If you want something more mellow, in fact VERY mellow then Colma is your album. It's nice. bc arbitrary 02-11-2007, 06:43 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4ZjPYtcMOA&search=buckethead D.A.R.K. 02-11-2007, 06:46 PM Praxis: Transmutation http://music.hyperreal.org/labels/axiom/axiomlabel.html +1! Prahainspring 02-11-2007, 10:03 PM Population Override. A little funkier, less straight brutal shredding but a very solid album over all. The thick synth sound adds to the texture. Crime Slunk Scene. A pretty straight forward rock album but solid all-the-way-through material. Grueber 02-11-2007, 10:36 PM Other - Crime Scene Slunk. Unfortunitly you can't find the album anywhere. Maybe e-bay He sells it on tour along with "The Elephant Man's Alarm Clock" VanillaO 02-11-2007, 11:07 PM Colma is such a great and absolutly beautiful album. I wonder if any of his other stuff is like that...? It's actually pretty cool. He has a pretty different sound from one album to the next most o fth etime. He's done funk, classical, lots of metal, rock, groovy stuff.. he gets hated on way too much in my opinion (most people think he just shreds always) jerry 02-12-2007, 07:55 AM I love Colma! fcleff 02-12-2007, 08:08 AM Other: Zillatron "Lords of the Harvest" Also, "The Octave of the Holy Innocents" with Jonas Hellborg. :bassist: britrit 02-12-2007, 08:48 AM What would his best metally album be? Baryonyx 02-12-2007, 10:04 AM My favourite album from Buckethead would have to be Octave of the Holy Innocents. Yes, it's tehnically a Hellborg album, but Buckethead was great on it! Grueber 02-12-2007, 12:16 PM What would his best metally album be? I would recommend "The Cuckoo Clocks of Hell", "Buckethead Vol. 2", and "Kaleidoscalp" His 2 recent ones(Elephant Man's Alarm Clock and Crime Slunk Scene" are pretty metal but he only sells them at concerts Benjamin Strange 02-12-2007, 01:16 PM I like his stuff, but I prefer his alter ego: Death Cube K. I understand that both CDs are out of print, but if you can find any of it, I highly recommend it. I've been told that some of my ambient music sounds like this stuff. AmazingGracePlayer 02-12-2007, 08:00 PM Buckethead is great, I wonder if his song "Too Many Humans" is based off of "Too Many Puppies" after working with Les... |
