***************SOLD! Thanks... ********************

OK, time to move this one on. No introductions needed for this bass - plays & sounds every bit as good as it looks... and it looks GOOD!

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y149/drgregn/Sadowsky%20NYC%20Modern/IMG_1156.jpg

Details: Delicious quilt maple top, ash body, maple board, Sadowsky pre (duh!), has the all-important VTC. Frets in great shape, action excellent. Overall very good condition - I do find 3 dings that are all pictured in links below - most significant are 2 marks in side of lower body next to jackplate that go through the finish. Frankly not very noticeable until you turn the bass upside down and look (I'd never noticed them myself before looking this bass over for sale description purposes), but, hey, I believe in full disclosure, so there they are. Other marks pictured are some little headstock dings and two subtle gloss finish imperfections on the lower bout.

Functionally and tonally - no issues at all. Only reason for the sale is to get back below my self-imposed limit on total number of basses since I just fell for a new Lakie 55-02 with the new pickups, etc. The Sadowsky Modern tone is stellar, but my Skjold 6 has an East 2-band pre and does pretty much the same thing plus some stuff the Sad can't, so it's expendable.

My Nordstrand NX6, Skjold 6, MTD535, DJ5, and EBMM buttercream HH/S all still live here, so don't feel too sorry for me in giving up the Modern! :smug:

Will be shipped in Sadowsky "hard" case (the one with fabric cover).

$2650 including shipping & insurance to lower 48. Good old USPS money order preferred, will also accept Paypal but we'll split the fees (your price with Paypal would be $2690) .

Well..... you'd frankly have to knock me over with an offer for something sweet! Would really rather have the cash. But - the worst thing I can say is no, right?

Nice picture. I remember taking that one not too long ago, man this bass is getting around. Best of luck with the sale.

Yep - I used yours 'cause it was so good - thanks! The pics of the dings are mine, though... I didn't have those when I bought it. :eyebrow: It went through another owner after it left you though, I think.

Wow.

Too bad my sadowsky needs a "cheap backup", and not an "expensive" one.

I would SOOO snag that off...
