Just a word to all other geezers out there who are thinking about playing bass DO IT! I just started playing guitar this summer and switched to bass about a month ago. I'm much happier on the low side. I will be 57 years old next month but don't think or act old. Love all kinds of music blues,rock,funk etc. I've just about stopped watching TV (waste of time) and use my spare time to practice and play. Persue your passion because it is never to late. Try to inspire your children and grand children to play (if you have any) (I have five). Great site by the way.Thanks for all the great info. Phil, Charleston,WV

I too am on my way to Geezerdom, but as a Music Teacher, this year I have 5 seniors, (one just started at 81 and is havin a blast with it)

They are all doing great and unanimously agree it is making their life better....
