VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : Bassist Wanted to Takeover the World of Rock with us!!!

LUXROCK
02-24-2007, 04:55 PM
Up and coming rock band looking for a dedicated bassist to permanently fill the spot.

We are a group with many major label prospects and loads of opportunity at this point, and believe in having a solid team before we go into the insane world of stardom. Our previous Bassist has turned out to not be what we thought he was, so we are diligently looking for the man to take the job.

We are seeking a full-time member who shares the same dream we do. Our goal is simple: To be the biggest Rock Band Ever and never stop being on the top. The only major requirement we’re searching for in a bassist is a person with extreme drive and the willingness to do whatever it takes to be the best. You don’t have to be the greatest bassist right now, you don’t have to have tons of sweet gear, and you don’t have to meet any requirements other than this:

Your drive to achieve your dream in being a part of an amazing band is the most important thing in your life.

To make a long story short, we are big on dedication and are looking for those equally as dedicated as us. :)

If possible, we’d prefer someone who plays a 5 string bass, preferably can sing, has a lower kind of voice, isn’t afraid to rock the hell out of huge crowds, and being an attractive/charismatic man wouldn’t hurt. If you are afraid of screaming girls throwing their clothes at you, please do not apply; it will come with your job. :)

If you don’t meet all these requirements exactly, don’t let it turn you off to the idea.

If you want to see what we’re all about, hear our music, and see what caliber of band we are, please visit our MySpace Page at:

www.myspace.com/luxrock (this is where you can see the screaming girls part.)

You can also visit: www.luxrock.com for more

If you’re extremely interested after seeing everything there is to see, please feel free to contact us at anytime at: averywatts@luxrock.com

We hope to see you soon.

Seems like the perfect opportunity for someone to join a band already in the thick of it.

If only I were 20 years younger with no kids, not to mention already having my chops down. Chops might be important.:p

I hope you find the perfect bassist for your band. Good luck to you.

I'm betting you guys either met at the gym or Christian Camp. I also willing to bet that the drummer doesn't have his super-sexiliscious abs yet. Does that guy not want people to know he is in this band? He is remarkably highlight free.

I don't want to join, but I demand that you give me a cheesey stage name.

Wow, talk about arena-rock-ready, right down to their names: Avery Watts, Jamie Steele, Cash Lawless, Shay Bassman.... I'll resist the temptation to mock, because once I do they'll probably just turn around and make millions of dollars. So I'll just say "good luck guys".

I'm sorry, can't fight it anymore.
But the only panties I could ever see being thrown is if you were playing a show on the Disney channel or at the Blue Oyster Bar.

This is quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen.

I know this ad is for a bass player, but I have an idea. My band, Kill Bosby (http://www.myspace.com/killbosbians), has a drummer named Joe (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=153819400) who is completely ripped would fit in perfectly with these guys. And, coincidentally, Joe is moving to LA next year, so he could easily hook up with them.

Since LUX's current drummer appears to not be quite as "cut" as the rest of their band members, I propose a grandiose drummer-swap. Joe is moving to LA anyway, so I think he should drum for LUX. He definitely has the abs for the job.

And LUX's current drummer should move to Omaha and drum for Kill Bosby.

Because we think it would be freakin' awesome to have a ninja drummer (http://myspace-738.vo.llnwd.net/00411/83/72/411642738_l.jpg). :ninja:

What's with the bandana?, I thought it might have been a one-time thing for the mag ad...what's he hiding, a non-muscular chin?

And holy crap, he has the same stupid tattoo on both arms, and it looks like it was drawn with magic marker (or crayons - me thinks it comes off at night).

12 year old rock listeners are in for the ride of their life!

...and dangit it'll work, and they (or someone atleast) will make lottsa moolaa. And then the embassasment will set in. And then it's all over.

World ...Domination ...Cancelled.

From now on I will demand that every drummer that plays in my studio is required to wear a bandana over their mouth.

Maybe it's a Michael Jackson thing?

BTW, I am having my name legally changed to:

ROBBIE BASSPLAYER and hittin' the gym

middle name: MONSTER

i'd really need some clarification as to what "taking on the job" would require here... :eyebrow:

I just feel the need to say this... I know I will probably be black balled...

But I don't think this bands talent makes up for their ego. :( Oh dear oh dear... they are even lying about how many friends they have on myspace...

they say they have nearly 50,000 and they have 1/2 of that. :(

Here is the link to see it because they block the link from their page. (http://friends.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewfriends&friendID=4967887)

Oh well

See, now I always wondered what happened to Hanson.

Actually "Hanson" and their family are living large in Oklahoma somewhere.
One of my friends I went to college with is their first cousin. My sister dated him for a while and got to go up for a family deal once. Said their place was huge, and got to listen to them in the studio. Basically their record deal said none of your songs, just the ones we tell you to record, which is where "Mm Bop" came in.
Their own stuff that they write is actually pretty good, and that's saying a LOT, coming from me. I have the CD of the stuff they record and track themselves, as they play lots of instruments and it's very good pop-type stuff if you like it. Much better than most BS that's on "alt radio" today, IMO.

wow... I have so much more respect for them now!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not (probably are! :p) but I just like to throw that in there when I can. Yeah they sang a crappy ass song, but for the paycheck they got, who wouldn't? They actually can put it down pretty well. People do it all the time, sing ****** songs they didn't write *cough* Aerosmith *cough*... ;)
