My band guitar players play in C sharp tuned a - la drop D. Right now, I have the EADG all tuned the same as their guitars -- CsGsCsFs, the B string is tuned to A. Any suggestions on how I could possibly tune it differently?

As long as you can play it, it doesn't matter what tuning you're in, but I'd like to try out a G#C#G#C#F# sometime. That could be enjoyable and weird to get used to.

Wow, even lower than A.... my Cab already has problems with the frequency response on A

I was in a band that had two guitars tuned to that tuning (Drop - C we called it) and I couldn't find a good tuning for the low B either. If I still had my 5 string (it got stolen :crying:), I would probably try to keep it in standard tuning, depending on what the riffs were like. If it were more practical to tune to CGCF then I would opt for a 4 banger tuned down. I can imagine playing metal riffs using a lot of low C's down on the first fret of a stanard tuned B string, pfft... much easier to move around the bass when you have that "open" string to play... I mean why make it harder than it has to be?

EDIT: Eh, I just noticed your tuning is that same but raised half a step in your case, so disregard my notes lol.
