VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : FT(for the right deal...): Trace Elliot GP12X (or whole rack)
Trevorus 02-28-2007, 11:26 PM I have a GP12X preamp, and I am just looking for different stuff. I feel I haven't switched around enough... You guys have infected me with GAS.
I am taking trade offers for something that piques my interest. Not really looking for sale, really. This comes with a footswitch. Either the one I made for it, or an original (I have one on the way).

Throw some offers my way.
Trevorus 03-02-2007, 04:27 PM Might trade the whole rack for something particularly interesting in the amp department...
Sg102 03-02-2007, 05:09 PM Does this unit have a tube section?
Thanks.

Thanks.
No, this is the solid-state version. Though, I was quite surprised to find that out when I first got it. This thing is WARM!!! Think Eden tube warm but clearer.
Trevorus 03-04-2007, 06:56 PM Tubes would be a cool trade...

Embryodead 03-12-2007, 06:49 AM haha i'd so trade my GK1001 for this if i had a power amp.
Trevorus 03-30-2007, 07:36 PM Still looking!
Trevorus 03-30-2007, 08:23 PM Oh, I now have the original footswitch, too!
Zooberwerx 03-30-2007, 08:30 PM That's an interesting piece! I'm not terribly familar with the TE line of gear; could you fill me in on the details?

2manband 03-31-2007, 08:26 AM Are you sure we can't trade you some money for it?

This is probably an early 90's piece. It's really cool, but I am not sure if it's my thing. It has a built in 2 way crossover so you can biamp with one stereo power amp, and just this unit. I also have an original Trace foot switch, though it lacks LED's. I might be putting some in, because it really helps not to have to look at the amp to know if the EQ or Preshape is engaged. I have been looking for rack ears for a bit, but right now it is just velcro'd to the power amp. British Audio Service should be able to get a hold of some rack ears for it. If not, machining them would not be all that hard. Some right angle V-channel Aluminum would work perfectly.
Are you sure we can't trade you some money for it?
Eh, money in my hands always turns into spending money for random junk. I would like to still have a big amp rig when this is all done.
Bigoo7e 04-02-2007, 11:58 AM Whats the spec's on that crown power amp?
Peace,

cheezewiz 04-02-2007, 03:29 PM Bump for a great pre and a great seller. I had one of that exact pre in an old Trace 410 combo and it was versatile and sounded fantastic.

Thanks Pat. I really wish Tom would trade me for that Orange head... (I'd owe him a bit, though.. :D)
