SOLD!!!!

I am putting this up here before i hit the ebay. it's a 77 stingray in WELL used condition, MOJO as it were.
It was originally owned by a studio player that knew Louis Johnson and I was told it is in one of Louis' instructional videos-the second one maybe. The previous owner also told me it has been played by Larry graham, Flea and others but I can't substantiate it! I have used it one hundreds of gigs and recordings. Check out "i'm doing fine" here: http://www.lorenzosmusic.com/audio.html
You can hear this bass clear as day.
only weighs 8.5 lbs!
It had hipshot ultralites on it for a bit so there is one extra screw hole underneath each tuner plate. you can't see them but i want to be straight up! it is very worn but it plays and sounds great. the "elbow rest" area was so worn and rough it had to be sanded so it has a bit of a bevel--see pics. I think it had been refretted and the fretboard refinished along time ago. The frets are jumbo i think and very tough.
I have more pics here;

Feel free to ask questions if you are serious I want the buyer to know everything first so they are happy!
I take paypal.
I also reserve the right to pull my head out of my butt and stop this at any time;)

I'm saving the picture as a memory to what I once owned...how I miss the past. Best tone and playability ever on a four string (Danny Wilson...Charles Meeks...) Thanks for the reminiscibility...good luck with your sale!!

Thanks for the reminiscibility...good luck with your sale!! Can you clarify the Charles Meeks reference? He's one of my fav all time players. I know he played a Ray with mangione in the late 70's. Please don't tell me you know he owned this Ray.

No - wasn't mine....mine was sold to a collector in Japan...the downside is that I did not reap the benefit, as I had sold it for hundreds less to a local store owner here in SW Pennsylvania.

I wouldn't know if he owned this particular Ray....I just know they were outstanding. That Mangione quintet was the best - Mangione - Meeks - Vadala (now at the University of Maryland) - Bradley - and Geissman. Awesome.
