i know its a dumb question but i want to know how many scales are there on the bass and what are they ? im only asking because i only know a few :hmm:

You don't need to learn all the scales at once, IMO it is best to learn a Major and Natural Mino, then Major and Minor Pentatonic and learn them inside out. Learn how to make music with them, develop your ear, and technique with them. After that modes and other scales will come easy, you will have a point of reference to build on. The major scales are the main ones to learn, and each major has 6 relative scales (called modes). Best to start with basic like this thread talks about learn them inside out. Not only to play them but get the sound in your ear, learn the sound of different scale degrees against chords.
