Hi all

I've got in the post today a fantastic bit of kit, if you like to mic your bass or perhaps use a mic plus pick-up & mix the combination, check this product out.

From Exploraudio www.exploraudio.com LiveBASS H-Clamp

Fits in seconds, screw thread compatible with just about all mics on the market, solid & road ready. I think this product is the biz.

What's more, every once in a while my bass comes un-glued & I now have a tool I can use to clamp top & back to the ribs!! Better than the sofa like I've used before. Sorry that's not for the sqweemish, what ever it takes to make the gig, eh?

Anyway, good piece of kit, top marks from me, what do you think?
Drop me a line, I don't sell these or work for the company, just chuffed with it!

Best wishes
Gary Holder

Gary, yes, this one is a good catch IMO too. Some of us have written (like this) (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=300048) about how much we like the clamp already. I think Vunz was the first to bring it to my attention.

The only problem I've encountered is when working with a heavier mic such as the Beyer M 88. Even w/ the weight of the Beyer at 320 grams, I still managed to find a workable solution that sounds better to me than the rubber bands between the bridge legs, at least on my bass, thru my rig, with my ears, and so on.
