But it says his '61 Jazz has a rosewood neck and fingerboard. And no mention of the cool triple-neck acoustic guitar/mandolin thing he played when I saw them in '77...I always wondered about that one. GlennW 03-31-2007, 06:42 PM It also says the Hag H8 is a 34" scale - I don't think so. I wish I hadn't seen the nipple shirt. Lots of good info though. BassMan250 03-31-2007, 09:23 PM It also didn't mention his two Alembics, as far as I saw. ibnzneksrul 03-31-2007, 09:30 PM It also didn't mention his two Alembics, as far as I saw. http://www.led-zeppelin.org/reference/gear/index.php?m=jpj-1975-1980 Maurits 04-02-2007, 07:32 AM That's pretty cool. Luthier Andy Manson built that for him. www.andymanson.co.uk johnvice 04-02-2007, 08:48 AM 1968 Hagstrom H8 8-String The site claims that this bass was "used in-studio on Achilles Last Stand". JPJ used his ALembic 8 string on that entire album , Presence. He did use the Hag in the Stdio on "Celebration Day". PhR 04-02-2007, 09:05 AM JPJ used his ALembic 8 string on that entire album , Presence. He did use the Hag in the Stdio on "Celebration Day". Where did you get this info? There's four string bass on many tracks on "Presence" (for example on "For Your Life"). Mojo-Man 04-02-2007, 09:51 AM That's pretty cool. But it says his '61 Jazz has a rosewood neck and fingerboard. The pic of 1961 bass, looks more like a 1963? No stack knobs. zombywoof5050 04-02-2007, 01:23 PM Thanks for the link on Andy Manson. And as for the Jazz, I don't know what year it is...I was mainly disputing their claim that the neck (not fingerboard) is rosewood. |
