And that's as far as I got. I like the sound generally, but it's a little raw and untamed as it is now. XansNiceSweater 03-31-2007, 06:35 PM Thanks. Puns About Cars is one of my faves -- Thank You was the second song I ever wrote. volt9stormrider 03-31-2007, 06:43 PM not too shabby. i actually like it. very unique. Doughd54 03-31-2007, 08:40 PM your vocals on puns about cars are beautiful and perfect in every way XansNiceSweater 03-31-2007, 09:28 PM Do I detect a lot of sarcasm there, Dough? :D EDIT: If anyone can draw some comparisons between us and any other band, that would be awesome - we're totally in the dark. I didn't listen to all the songs, and only a bit through the one I did hear. Not exactly my kind of music, but sounds good... xlows 04-05-2007, 06:54 PM i'd say puns about cars is a bit like when beck raps. definitely should stick with that. i wasn't as much of a fan of the other stuff. JLW 04-05-2007, 06:57 PM I like it a lot. You guys sound a LOT like Grand Buffet, especially the rap-style vocals. I enjoy it. Keep it up. Good stuff. But I think the juvenile lyrics are a little...well....juvenile. Maybe move away from Santa shitting in your stockings. By the way, what kinda bass are you playing? Sounds really edgey and almost like it's a metal tone. I feel like it doesn't really fit the music., XansNiceSweater 04-06-2007, 02:36 PM Yeah, the Christmas stuff was intentionally juvenile. I thought our guitarist had taken that one down a long time ago...man, that's like, over a year ago. Um, the bass depends on the song...let me look. Thank You is my 83 Precision Bass. Puns About Cars is a Yamaha BB404 with EMGs and Flatwounds. Kringle Trifecta is a 1964 Epiphone 5120 Hollowbody. W.A.S.P. is the 83 Precision run direct through whatever was at the studio. New songs will be up by the end of the weekend, I think. XansNiceSweater 04-08-2007, 07:17 PM Thanks! New songs will be there soon, I swear... XansNiceSweater 04-09-2007, 06:00 PM NEW SONG ADDED! |
