NEW (STORE STOCK) GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP LEE SKLAR BASS (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250098700167) http://pics.ebaystatic.com/aw/pics/s.gif
I would like to put this exact system in both of my Peavey TL-6 basses. I bet it sounds good
The pickups are easy. It says they're EMG's.
Doesn't Gibson have a forum? Maybe ask there too.

from the auction
2 P-style EMG split-coil pickups, volume/blend/tone controls.
my guess is that the EMG's themselves are active, and from there everything is passive.
another easy way to do it with active EMG's is to adapt two standard active EMG P-bass harnesses and wire the two volumes to a ganged pot as a blend (reverse stack) and the two tones to a ganged pot as a common tone (direct stack)...and then simply a passive master volume...

Does Mr. Sklar have a forum some where ? Maybe I could ask him.

Or you could do the terribly obvious, drop gibson an email, or call them about it. rocket science. but that pretty cool i always wanted to try a dual p style bass

Yes, they are cool. The Aria SB series dual pickup models are just that. They look like humbuckers but under the covers they are P style. Granted they seem to have a uniqueness to them but they are still P style pickups.

I really want to use the EMG BQS pre on this

and the EMG BQC pre on this bass

I would like to use the EMG HZ passive pickup, in one of the slots, and the active pickup in the other. I dont know if that can be done with theese pre's though.
