I have here an F-bass BN4 that I just got this past week from a friend of mine here on the forums. I'd been lusting after an F-bass since almost as long as I can remember, but when I got this one, I realized that it doesn't fit in with any of my current gigs!! :crying:

So...here it is. I emailed George at F-Bass and he said that it was a 2 piece Alder body and he thinks it's a Gabon Ebony fingerboard and a 5 piece maple/wenge neck. It's currently wearing chrome knobs, but the originals will be included as well. The bass does have some wear, looks like slapping wear below the G string and some finger wear on the bridge pickup cover. There is also some arm rub wear on the top of the bass. All in all, it may LOOK bad, but it isn't really.

The bass is an all passive model with hum cancelling coils located in the control cavity. This bass surprised me with how much you can alter the sound of the bass based on pickup height! Just a little adjustment can change the entire attitude of the bass!

But enough of my talking, here's some pictures of the bass!!

The rest of the pictures can be found at http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y125/jmb7183/fbass/

The bass will come with a Fender G&G Hardshell case featured in the photos and will come with both sets of knobs, the brand new set of DR Lo Riders on there (less than 4 hours of playing time!) and will also come with a lightly used set of D'Addario rounds as well.

Full out sale? $1300 shipped.

As far as trades go, I'm looking for the following in no particular order...

Stingray 4 or 5 (H, HS, HH, are all welcome!)
Sterling (again...H, HS, HH are all welcome.)
Fender American P or P Deluxe (4 or 5)
Fender Jazz's
G&L SB1, SB2, L2000 or 2500
Lakland JO, BG
Warwicks
? you tell me...

Sorry it didnt work out better for you Josh. I figger'd it would be a good fit, but thats how things work out sometimes.

I got this bass from forumite (and exceptional bro) bdgotoh. He as well as myself can vouch that its a great bass. Plays great and sounds very good.

Its a cool middle ground between booooteeeek feel and vintage vibe.

Also note, that after aprox 23,746 deals with Josh, I can attest that he is TOP NOTCH to deal with.

Yep, this is a really nice BN-4. Light but it balances perfectly, and the neck is Jazz-like without being too narrow. Someone's going to get a great bass...

Very true Vic.

Brad brought up a good point too. I think my bathroom scale showed this one right at 8 pounds.

+1! Josh is an AWESOME TBer. He and I have had several dealings. I wish I had something I could offer him for this one, but it just isn't meant to be right now.

Have you guys seen what these would go for new? And then factor in the wait time!

If I had the money saved for a different bass, I'd buy this one just because how low he's asking for an F-bass.

I've got some great trade offers on the table and am trying to sort them out, in the mean time, this is still FS and cash is king.

Those of you who have sent PM's and emails about trades, I promise I will get back to you, in fact, it will most likely be the latter part of today once my inlaws leave...
