Not sure what you mean about using a B Band. But when the back is off a bass, one should check for other cleats or patches that may be coming unglued. A buzz you do not want. The luthier that puts it back together should use a good quality hide-glue for the seams so that it can be opened again easily but not open when weather fluctuates a bit. The bass bar (on the inside of the top) should also be checked to be sure it is not coming away from the top in ANY place (especially observe the ends). Places along the seams wear there may be damage need to be repaired before the back gets glued back on. Good luck! And Bass Wishes!
