SOLD! An ART Levelar tube (valve) compressor...
SOLD! An Aramat Tubular Tremolo pedal...

Still available:
A Boss TU-50 Pro rackmount tuner (half-rack width); their Pro series units are unkillable and very clean sounding. This one can be muted with a remote footswitch, and there is no tone suckage whether engaged or bypassed. It tunes an open E no problem, but honestly it can't handle an open low B. I tested it against my Peterson strobostomp, and the tuning accuracy is dead solid. When the green "in tune" light on the Boss lit up, the Strobo rotor display was not moving even a tiny bit. :) It does have some dings and rack wear, but nothing that would interfere with its function. It comes with the original 12VAC power supply.

Man, I have wanted a levelar for a long while...They are great units, and an amazing value. Too bad the one I sold got destroyed by the mail before it arrived! That hurts when the item is OOP :(

It can get those notes, but it starts to get slower and more erratic the lower you go. I'd say if you're down-tuning, you'd want to tune to a couple of fretted notes on the low string rather than an open Db, if only to save time waiting for it to think about it. :)

On the Levelar...I love mine (I own 2 of them). I have used them in the bass rig, and I currently have them on vocal channels. It is a huge "bang for the buck" unit and is a great deal at this price.

Bump for Bongo,
Jay

The Levelar is sold, and I lowered the price a tad on the Boss tuner. :)

It also contains a "fat boost" circuit, which can be used just to bring the signal up to unity...
if i'm understanding this correctly, this means you can set it to have no volume drop when engaged... right?

EDIT: duh... there's a volume control on it. :o

i guess, basically, i'm just wondering if the tremolo "volume-dip" is rectifiable with the aramat...

That's right, the boost circuit is there specifically to correct for the typical tremolo volume drop. IME the setting where the signal level is at a "perceived" (RMS) unity gain is with the volume knob at around 9:00. From there on up it has a serious amount of boost on tap. :)

True, and it was a friendly burn :).

I'm convinced that Aramat is just a BYOC kit anyways, but at least it was already assembled!

Just FYI, Keith from Aramat has been doing his thing much longer than BYOC. I bought an Aramat 808 clone in 2001 IIRC, and BYOC didn't start 'til 2004.

When I opened my Aramat Green Machine (didn't I get that from you?) it looked exactly like a Clone, down to the hookup wire. They may well be different, but they sure are similar. I like 'em both :)
