Anybody Know a good luithier in Portland OR. I could bring a bass Im considering buying to? Iwant some one to check it out to see if its healthy

There are three listed in my Double Bass Luthiers Directory - http://www.urbbob.com/luthiers.html

I would suggest (they're on Bob's list) Maureen over at Schubacks and Richard Moffett. Richard is less of a luthier and more of a bass shop owner. So you might want to call him first. He's honest so he'll tell you what he doesn't know and when to bring it over to Schubacks. He just might try and sell you something in his shop.

I use Don Kinch, whose card I unfortunately can't find at the moment. He's been awesome - done wonderful things for my bass. I recommend him highly - he works out of his house and he's near NE 73rd and I-84 area.

ps - I just checked and Don's one of the 3 in Bob's directory...
