are you sure it is a p neck (looks small from the pic)? how wide is the neck at the nut?

Here is the original manufacturers desciption:
Classic Bass" CB series bass pickups are passive designs featuring an extended and more resonant frequency range. They have far more "air" and definition at the top without sacrificing lows and low mids. They are cast in epoxy to remove unwanted feedback and microphonics. CNC machined blades on the 4 string bass pickups allow them to cover string widths from 50mm to 59mm on medium curvature fingerboards with excellent string balance.
The 9S are low noise Single Coil Pickups.
I do know that they were very quiet compared to stock Fender Jazz pups with a nice warm tone. They seem to have a little less output than stock Fender pups, but with the right amp they sound great.
