VIEW FULL LIVE VERSION : FS: Hamer USA Cruisebass, Gotoh bridge.
pickles 04-28-2007, 12:54 PM I just picked this bass up after looking for one for a long time, and it is exactly what I was looking for ... but before it arrived I was offered a surprise deal on a Lakland USA JOBO 5. Couldn't pass that one up. I don't need two Alder J-basses, so this one is for sale.
Its in nice shape for its age. The only issue is that A string saddle intonation adjust screw doesn't work anymore. You just set it manually, then tune up and its held in place by tension. Works fine, but if you're picky you might want to replace it.
Sounds and plays like a J-bass should. I just set it up medium-low with some fat beams.
$500 includes shipping to the lower 48. Includes original harshell case, truss rod adjuster, and original warantee card. No trades.

pickles 04-29-2007, 11:34 AM Hurtin' checkbook bump.
steamthief 05-03-2007, 11:31 PM I like Cruise basses. Is the intonation screw stripped? Is it something you could replace at any hardware store, or something you'd need to order from Gotoh?
What's the E string height @ the 12th fret? Any scratches/dings that stand out, especially on the back of the neck?
pickles 05-04-2007, 11:12 AM a little piece of the saddle that retains the screw broke off when I was setting the intonation. I could be superglued back on, or you could try to procure a replacement saddle. But its really easy to just slide it into place before tuning to pitch. It doesn't move around with string pressure one it.
Action is roughly 3/32" on the E, 2/32" on the G. I'll have to double chekc on the wear for you tonight when I get home, but there is nothing that effects playability.

steamthief 05-16-2007, 08:05 PM I'll try again. Any scratches or dings that stand out, especially on the back of the neck?
pickles 05-16-2007, 09:44 PM Sorry, I didn't mean to ignore your question. Back of the neck is cherry, the only realy wear is some belt buckle wear on the back ... see below for more pics. Come try it out! Such a great bass for the $$.

Man, I'd love to, but depending on traffic, 2 hours minimum each way. Coaching junior's baseball team eats a lot of weekend!
Any interest in another S410?
jasper383 05-19-2007, 11:03 AM Is that a regular Gotoh 201 Bridge? Basically, is there an aftermarket bridge that would drop in there?
Plus, how much does it weigh?

I definitely don't need any more cabs ... my closet is full of extras as it is.

I don't think Gotoh makes this particular bridge anymore. I'm sure you could find one on ebay etc, but really this one is OK as is. You just have to be a little careful when you change the A string.
Bathroom scale says 8.5lbs.
